Scholastic Book Fairs are hosted by Catholic parochial schools and Protestant schools around the country. Even though the Scholastic website says that it has "carefully screened" the books it offers, they are sending copies of The Golden Compass by Pullman to Catholic school book fairs. The most recent Scholastic catalog sent out to parents before by a parish school book fair also features Pullman's books. Be on the alert and inform any school hosting a Scholastic Book Fair of Pullman's militant atheistic agenda.
